We kick off the 2nd Singapore Eco Film Festival (www.sgeff.com) with the Singapore premiere of Acid Ocean and an opening night party at The Projector! Meet our community partners pre-screening and find out what they do over free drinks from our Official Drinks Partner, Sluggr.
Acid Ocean’s director of photography Simon Enderby will introduce the film, which documents how marine scientists across the world are tackling ocean acidification, one of the most urgent environmental challenges facing our planet today. Covering almost three-quarters of the Earth and producing most of the oxygen we breathe, our oceans also absorb much of the carbon dioxide we produce, slowing down global warming. The film tracks the latest scientific research from the icy polar seas to the world’s most pristine coral reefs. Heading the investigation is Dr Katharina Fabricius from the Australian Institute of Marine Science who has made a game-changing discovery: Nestled amongst Papua New Guinea’s stunning coral gardens is a unique reef, a window to the future of our oceans.
Come early for an evening of conversation and laughter with booths and bicycle-powered short film screenings by our community partners: ACRES, International Bicycle Film Festival, iDOPT, Biodiversity Connections and The Pangolin Story.
Don’t miss the speed dating/ networking session facilitated by The Inceptry, and a chance to win $200 travel gift vouchers sponsored by ElementZ, a luxury ecotourism focused travel company.
