VSS has repeated many of our hikes, but here’s one we’ve never done before. This hike is approximately 10km and lasts about 2.5-3hrs. It starts on the Kampong Trail, which begins on Hindhede Drive, just a couple blocks before the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve’s Visitors Centre. To make it easy to find us, we’ll meet at the BTNR’s Visitor Centre at 9am on Sunday, 8 January 2017.
It’s a very diverse trail, mostly through forest, but also walking on sidewalk and road for stretches. We will end at Venus Drive Carpark, near Upper Thomson Road. There are many buses from there, including buses that go to Brownice – http://www.brownice.com – on Sin Ming.
The trail can be muddy, rocky and slippery. Please wear appropriate footwear, and bring protection from sun, rain and mozzies. The Ranger Station near Tree Top Walk is the only place along our route with water; so, please bring a sufficient supply.
