For the very first time on SPCA premises, we will be having a fun and interactive session for kids that’s focused on animal storytelling, breath awareness, and movement. Through stories of animals and the environment, kids will develop empathy for all creatures great and small. This is a great opportunity for kids to share with the group their feelings towards animals and how they can continue to care for our furry friends. Apart from animal storytelling, we will be having traditional Tai Chi and Yoga segments for the kids to improve their flexibility and increase self-confidence. An event at the SPCA will be incomplete without animal interaction. So, after the animal storytelling, Tai Chi and Yoga segments, kids will get the opportunity to interact with animals from our shelter.
A little bit about the facilitator: Balakrishnan Matchap is a trained fitness professional and founder of “YEAH!” – Yogis for the Environment, Animals and Humanity! He has special interest in community work, animal advocacy and nature preservation.
