Join Us for an Evening of Nostalgia and Help the Strays!

Remember a time not so long ago, when life was simpler and slower, where neighbours knew each other, and got together for simple activities like sharing a meal and watching a movie?

Some of you may and some may not, so we are inviting all of you to relive and experience that nostalgic moment in time when dogs and people alike lived in harmony and happiness.

For one night only, come together as a community of animal lovers and friends to watch a movie together under the stars at the perfect venue of vintage People’s Park Complex Open Air Carpark, with its rustic 70s’ charm.

This event celebrates everything local, from our Singapore Specials to our heritage and the movie so aptly selected – My Dog Dou Dou– is the first Singapore dog themed movie directed by Ng Say Yong, and produced by MM2 Entertainment and Homerun Asia. Both the director and one of the producers, Daniel Yun will grace our event. This movie is a wonderful story about a boy and his wonder dog and is set in a local context which all of us can identify with. There will also be stalls with a host of activities from groomers, vet consults, allergy testing and much more like a pasar malam!
Through this event, we also aim to raise awareness of the plight of our stray and abandoned dogs, still roaming the streets of Singapore and numbering thousands, and suffering starvation, prosecution and abuse. The proceeds will be channeled to the ASD medical budget to help these dogs who suffer grievous injuries, whom without your help would have died agonizing deaths. So do bring the whole family along with your fur kids to enjoy this special night out, and help the strays at the same time! Staying true to the ‘Kampung spirit’, patrons are encouraged to come in their vintage, retro or casual wear to lend authenticity to the event!

Tickets are priced at $40 per human and $10 per dog which includes a movie ticket, a goodie bag and a dinner set. The first 100 to sign up get a special SG50 goodie bag which contains essential pet items and folds out into a mat, just nice for this event!
