Standing on the Shoulders of a Singapore Herb Giant http://uncletanherbs.info/ (public access from 27 Feb)
- What healing herbs grow well in Singapore?
- How to use them?
- How can we promote healing herbs in Singapore?
73-year-old self-taught Herbalist Uncle Tan has been trying to promote the knowledge of healing herbs, one talk at a time.
Inspired by his encyclopedic knowledge, passion and compassion, a group of volunteers have come together to document & safeguard his knowledge for future generations.
We would like to invite you to come find out more, at Uncle Tan’s new garden in D’Kranji Farm Resort:
Languages: Uncle Tan will speak in Chinese (interpreted into English). We have multi-lingual volunteers, including French & Italian 🙂
Shuttle bus available from Kranji MRT. You need to catch the 9.30 am shuttle.

RSVP required** by 24-Feb-2017 12pm.
This marks Uncle Tan’s 6th garden which he is starting from scratch. So come share in this special moment — you will not see a lush garden, but you will see the hope & healing Uncle Tan sees in the now barren space.
Come & be inspired. To take charge of your own health. To grow & share your own herbs. To learn more.
What would it take for this to be sustainable? Come prepared to share your ideas & resources.
RSVP required** — As courtesy to Uncle Tan who will brew herbal tea from scratch using what he grows. Light refreshments provided. Please try to bring your own mugs etc to minimise disposables.
