For the month of June, we will be holding our first ever visit to The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), which is a registered animal welfare charity with IPC status.
SPCA’s objective is to prevent cruelty to animals whilst promoting kindness through education, advocacy and action.
We hope you will join us to be part of this visit, which will involve:
1) An educational talk that covers the work SPCA does, followed by interaction with the animals in the shelter
2) Sale of SPCA merchandise – SPCA relies on donations from supporters to continue the important animal welfare work they do. They receive around 300 pets and stray animals every month.
3) We are also planning on having Dr Jaipal Gill, SPCA director, give us a talk on effective animal activism in this aspect (e.g., encouraging friends and family members to not buy dogs/cats, but to adopt instead).
When: 10th June
We need a minimum of 15 people for the event to proceed.
